I will demo the throwing and altering of a tall cylinder . The throwing of a round lid and flange to attach to the squared cylinder and its sizing .The extrudes of parts for applied feet and attaching . The throwing of a knob and its manipulation. A discussion about clay, slips and the final glaze treatment.

You will learn:

The ease to discover and expand simple thrown shapes into more complcated shapes. The use of dies and extrudes to make editions to your work. The idea of engineering and planning to broaden your view of what can be made as a potter.

Materials needed:

A notebook for taking notes and drawing ideas, and slip glaze info


The Zoom Demonstration will be recorded and sent out to all registrants if you want to attend but have a scheduling conflict during the live demonstration.

Since this is an online workshop, you will need to have a computer, tablet, or phone that can run video conferencing in a browser or app.
